Affirmation: “I am confident and empowered.”
Journal Prompt:
When do I feel the most confident & empowered?
Self-Care Ritual:
Have you ever heard the story of the two wolves?
It’s an old Cherokee teaching about life.
It begins with the idea that we each have a battle going on inside each of us. It is a terrible fight, between two wolves.
One wolf is all the negative energy – anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other wolf is the good energy – joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
Every day of our lives, we are in charge of which energy wolf will win. And it’s a very simple decider…
Which wolf wins, depends on which one you feed.
Whichever you feed, will grow. And the law of reversibility therefore applies as well, so that whichever you starve, will die.
In your journal writing, you searched yourself to bring to mind all the ways you’ve ever felt confident and empowered. Your self-care ritual is to confidently, and powerfully choose to step into those things you wrote about.
Take some time to find a quiet place, and meditate on those things you wrote about. Allow yourself to feel all the things you did in those moments. Regardless of where or when, no matter who was with you, YOU chose those moments as your most powerful. Relish in what that felt like, and draw it deeply into your being.
Allow those amazing feelings of confidence and power to radiate through you again. Allow them to feed the faith you have in yourself. Allow them to catapult you into believing that you deserve to feel that way more often than you don’t!
It is your choice. Every day of your life, it is you -vs- you, so feed the one that allows the best version of you to grow!
